This is why I like Tifa more than Aeris.
In the Aeris version of the Gondola ride, she first of all talks about how Cloud looks like her (dead) ex boyfriend, and then goes on to talk all whimsically about how she’s “searching” for him (Cloud that is, not the dead ex), and how she wants to meet him (which might be a euphemism for sex, I don’t know). There’s just not a lot of substance behind it, imo.
Tifa, on the other hand… she and Cloud were childhood friends, they have this complicated history that’s just a bit blurred at this point. And she’s trying to tell this guy, who—let’s face it—is as emotionally forthcoming as a wall, that she has feelings for him.
And I like it because Tifa’s not very good with her words, and because Cloud’s an idiot and has no idea what she’s trying to say.
/sigh
And thus concludes my Final Fantasy VII screenshots and analysis for the evening (I think).

I got Tifa on the date night, woo! I always preferred Tifa. Aeris was a touch too sweetly.
